The Countdown to Horizon 2012 begins

In our first post we threw some light on our Keynote & Mainstage sessions. In this post we will discuss on how the breakout sessions are lined up for Horizon 2012. Horizon 2012 will offer you with an option of choosing from 30+ breakout sessions spanning 4 tracks offering rich and varied content covering the various topics surrounding procurement from a technology, process & people focus point of view. The breakout sessions will offer you the opportunity to listen, learn & interact with some of the leading practitioners, analysts & technology experts to gain insights into the best practices & success stories surrounding procurement transformation initiatives.

In this session we will focus on one of the four tracks – Procure Performance Symposium (Technology).  This track will consist of 8 sessions spanning 2 days. A few of the watch out sessions are as follows;

  • Process control for consistent global execution of sourcing and contracting processes. John Goelz, Director of Supply Management Operations & Engineering Services, along with Christopher Brockland, Director – Strategic Sourcing Operations & Engineering Services, from Rockwell Automation will share insights into how eSourcing & Contract Management technology deployment is featuring prominently in Rockwell’s strategy to achieve competitive differentiation and best-in-class procurement performance.
  • Closing the gap between spend analytics and category management. Mike Lariviere, Director – Business Process, Weatherford will provide insights into how spend analytics can be used to shape category management strategies and ways to drive outside-the-box thinking around how spend categories can be segmented and addressed by procurement.
  • Best practices for Contract Management implementation. Katherine Kawamoto, Regional Vice President (Americas), IACCM & John Fenton, Director – Contracts, Cincinnati Bell will explore best practices related to developing pre-implementation, implementation and post-go live project teams to enable user adoption and the optimal ROI for your organization.
