Beware of fraudsters and miscreants dealing with misleading advertisement and fake job offers. Zycus being a desirable employer, it is quite possible that some fraudsters may target Zycus for rolling out fraudulent offer letters.

This kind of fraud is known as “phishing” and is a worldwide e-mail scam that targets various reputed organizations. The senders are usually looking for personal and/or financial information. They might also attempt to extract money in the name of processing of employment applications or price for “work permits” or “visa working documents.”

In some cases, the candidates have been asked for payments in order to be shortlisted and/or gain interviews or a job promise.

With Zycus’ logo or convincing biographical data stolen from social networking pages, these e-mails might appear genuine, however, these emails have no link to Zycus, and we do not use these approaches in our recruitment process.

What are genuine offers from Zycus like?

A legitimate Zycus recruitment processes include communication with candidates through email and recognized professional networks, such as LinkedIn. However, further communication is always through an official Zycus email address or phone number.

A legitimate Zycus recruiter will not solicit bank information from the candidate during the recruitment process until both parties have signed the employment contract.

A legitimate Zycus offers of employment are always based on merit. An offer is only extended after a candidate has been interviewed with members of the hiring team. Further, the offer will be extended both verbally and in written format.

How do I know if a job offer I have received is fraudulent?

Below are some red flags to look out for:

• It comes from a non-Zycus email address (e.g., yahoo or gmail.com) or if it comes from a domain which is not owned by Zycus. Please try and find out the authenticity and source of email.

What should I do if I receive a fake job offer via e-mail?

• Treat the e-mail with caution.
• Do not respond.
• Add the address to your spam filter to prevent further e-mails from the same source.

Please do not send any information to a recruiting process that claims to be for Zycus but is not consistent with the aforementioned information.
