Zycus launches ‘Customer Connect Series’, a platform to discuss & share procurement practices

PRINCETON, NJ OCTOBER 21, 2014 – Zycus Inc., a world leader in Procurement Technology solutions across the source-to-pay cycle, successfully concluded its’ first Zycus Customer Connect event on September 11, 2014, at the scenic milieu of Lake Minnetonka, MN.

Zycus Customer Connect Minneapolis was the first in a series of regional Customer Connect events the company plans to organize across different cities and countries in the coming months.

The event attracted a broad cross-section of customers based in Minneapolis and the surrounding area, representing diverse industries from Food and Hospitality to Medical Technology and Chemicals. The Zycus Customer Connect event provided the audience with a platform to share best procurement practices and fostered discussion of the challenges involved in building a successful supply chain strategy in today’s globalized environment. Top officials from Zycus were present to take the discussion forward, addressing the key issues shared by the attendees.

As part of the information exchange, Waugh presented the “Top 10 Metrics for Procurement Performance” that help strengthen organizational procurement practices and create a winning value proposition for stakeholders. Customer participants shared their own insights on the metrics that matter most for their organizations. His presentation stressed that while “big data” and powerful analytics make it possible to analyze performance at increasingly minute and granular levels, there are “big picture” metrics such as Spend Under Management, Spend Visibility, Procurement Contract Compliance, and Procurement ROI, which should be the strategic focus of Supply Managers. Waugh also shared how Zycus’ product roadmap includes analytics to track these top level metrics at a dashboard level, or “One View,” along with “embedded” analytics at the point of execution within a process workflow.
