New Zealand’s Fletcher Building Fast Tracks Spend Analysis with Zycus

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, APRIL 02, 2014 – Zycus, a world leader in Procurement Technology solutions across the source-to-pay cycle, announced today that Fletcher Building Ltd will adopt its Spend Analysis solution.

The implementation represents a move by Fletcher Building to transition from a labor-intensive, infrequent spend analysis process to one that is systematic, repeatable, automated and global in scope. “Our strategic objectives,” says Joanne Davenport, General Manager Group Procurement, “are to identify and deliver on global cost savings initiatives and to improve procurement processes, systems, governance and supplier relationship management across all of Fletcher’s business units, spanning 40 countries.”

With an estimated NZD $6 billion in annual spending across 40+ ERP and other source systems, nearly 10 million PO, receipt and invoice transactions, and some 70K suppliers, particular challenges for Fletcher Building include inconsistent and/or nonexistent coding of transactions, which makes it virtually impossible for procurement personnel to obtain the granular insights across the enterprise they need to develop high-level sourcing and supplier negotiation strategies. “Having worked with Zycus before in complex corporate settings and different industries,” Davenport says, “our team is confident that Zycus is up to the challenge of coping quickly and accurately with our particular needs and idiosyncrasies.”
