Leading Global Hotel Management Chain Inks Deal for Complete Zycus Source-to-Pay Suite

PRINCETON, NJ March 2, 2016 – Zycus, the leading source-to-pay procurement solutions provider, announced today that a large hotel chain operating some 1,400 properties in more than 100 countries will soon begin a global rollout of its complete integrated suite of procurement information and automation solutions, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Supplier Information & Performance Management, eSourcing, Contract Management, Spend Analysis, and Financial Savings Management.

The hotel chain’s move to an integrated procurement technology suite is driven by a desire to extend comprehensive digital procurement capabilities and 100% spend visibility across its entire global base of hotel properties. It wants each hotel worldwide to have perfect visibility into competitive pricing and performance across its supplier network – from strategic global to regional and local suppliers. By empowering every operator to become exceptionally effective and efficient at procurement and supply management, the company expects to achieve significant cost, profitability, and customer-service advantages in all of its local markets. Zycus is creating additional configurations in its software to meet unique business requirements of hotel operations.

The hotel chain has already achieved substantial reductions in overall global costs through its three-year utilization of Zycus iAnalyze for spend analysis. Adding the Zycus Procure-to-Pay (P2P) solution, with its cutting-edge auto-classification, guided procurement, and powerful capabilities for handling and capturing off-contract spending, will enable it to take spend visibility to unprecedented levels for the hotel industry. It expects to achieve significant competitive differentiation by flowing all e-procurement activity into iAnalyze to yield fast, accurate, and global views of spending.

In addition to enabling digital procurement with globally managed suppliers, the hotel chain will empower each individual property to add local and regional suppliers so they can use the solution to conduct virtually 100% of procurement. By enabling active management of all purchase orders, supplier acknowledgements, delivery, and payment records, the company’s procurement team expects to resolve chronic challenges for local hotel operators by enabling them to focus far less on the mechanics of obtaining goods and services, much more on creating outstanding experiences for hotel guests.

Zycus was chosen mainly for the interoperability of its solutions suite and for its long history of collaborating closely with customers both to refine and adapt existing applications and to build new ones. The hotel management chain has already been influential in helping to shape Zycus’ contract management tools and will look for additional enhancements in the area of Supplier Information Management (SIM).

“We are always excited to encounter forward-looking enterprises, such as this hotel management chain, who share our vision for procurement-powered business competitiveness and growth,” says Zycus CEO and founder Aatish Dedhia. “We are fast approaching a time when old process and information challenges for procurement and sourcing will be fully resolved and new capabilities for identifying, selecting, and collaborating with leading-edge suppliers, managing risks, and exploiting Big Data business intelligence will be born. By investing today in fully integrated process and information capabilities for procurement and supply management, this forward-focused hotel management chain assures its place on the leading edge of procurement and supply management innovation.”
