The company is an established gold mining organization with diverse portfolio of mines and projects in different parts of the world. As part of this deal, the company has licensed Zycus’ Source-to-Pay suite that includes Spend Analysis, eSourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Request Management, Financial Savings Management, Project Management and iConsole, Zycus API library.

Responsible mining is not just a priority but an imperative. There exist numerous supplier restrictions and guidelines laid out by the government. Hence, a procurement function especially in a global organization plays a pivotal role when it comes to sourcing materials.

The procurement function at this company was decentralized, where in, sourcing and procurement were conducted independently at a regional level. There was a lack of centralized and formal procurement practices that impacted compliance of processes. The company will leverage Zycus’ Source-to-Pay suite to build a central procurement function and enhance practices that helps them to have single view of spend across all sourcing projects globally.
