PRINCETON, N.J., August 31, 2015 - Zycus, the leading source-to-pay procurement solutions provider, announced today that a world leader in biscuits, chocolate, gum, candy and powdered beverages with billion-dollar brands, has selected Zycus' Strategic Sourcing Suite of procurement solutions to help enable their global procurement transformation. The modules to be implemented include eSourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Management and Project Management.
As a part of its’ 2014-2018 Restructuring Program, the American multinational confectionery was looking to further automate and streamline its current procurement processes and improve how it manages complex global sourcing. The aim of the restructuring program is to reduce the company's operating cost structure in both supply chain and overhead costs.
With presence in over 160 countries, the food and beverage conglomerate needed a modern, high-performance, state-of-the-art procurement solution which could be easily deployed, accessed and adopted by their procurement and sourcing team members working in all locations. In addition, the solution needed to provide visibility, efficiently manage information, and measure and track both performance and compliance of its vast supplier base.

The implementation will be done in multiple phases. The first phase will go-live in four months. The system will have over 100 users per product module. A global consulting firm is also part of this initiative and will collaboratively work to re-structure the complex business processes and assist in the global procurement roll out and high user adoption.
