Drawing parallels between early scepticism of the Internet in 2000 and today’s discussions around Gen AI, Rajamani highlighted how AI is no longer a passing trend but an essential shift in procurement.
He outlined four major trends reshaping procurement:

He emphasized that companies must act fast to integrate AI into their procurement strategies or risk falling behind. By leveraging supplier intelligence, predictive analytics, and autonomous procurement tools, organizations can achieve 10X improvements in productivity, cost savings, and risk reduction.
