Zycus makes a big splash at ISM2014

PRINCETON, NJ May 19, 2014 – ISM’s 2014 International Supply Management Conference, themed The Focus is You, was held on May 5-7 at Las Vegas. It saw a huge presence of supply management practitioners as well as providers.  Zycus being the exclusive Platinum and Technology sponsor of the event had its presence significantly felt.

Zycus featured in the technology educational session titled, ‘P2P Re-Imagined No User Pain, but Real Compliance Gains’ conducted by its VP Corporate Development, Richard Waugh and a subject matter expert from one of its customer companies.  The session dealt with issues like low adoption of first generation and ERP based e-Procurement solutions due to the lack of usability.  The user case discussed by the speaker resonated well with the needs of the attendees – to get higher adoption and spend compliance through process automation and efficiency.  The speakers also shared the industry best practices and key benchmark metrics for procure-to-pay.

Then there was also the ‘You and Hackett’ session organized by Zycus at its booth which offered attendees exclusive one to one face time with The Hackett Group’s Principal and Global Procurement Advisory Practice Leader, Chris Sawchuk. Chris gave his expert advice to the practitioners on mitigating the supply chain risks, automating the procurement processes and impacting the bottom line of the organization through strategic procurement decisions. He also shared the industry best practices and benchmarks in procurement.

Zycus, known for facilitating networking extravaganzas for the procurement community, hosted ZEST, an exclusive Gala for Senior Procurement Leaders in conjunction with the ISM show.  It included a networking dinner followed by a night Helicopter tour of the Vegas strip that was the high point of the evening.  The experience was appreciated quite well by the attending luminaries from large enterprises who were, by a special invite, part of this evening gala.  ZEST served as an excellent opportunity for the professionals to connect with each other in a relaxed and fun environment.

Some notable highlights from the ISM event were the sessions by Keynote speakers, ‘energy mogul’ and ‘free market comedian’ T. Boone Pickens and Moody’s Chief Economist Mark Zandi who did an excellent job of enthralling the audience.  Even the break-out sessions saw attendees pouring in high numbers, so much so, that the bookings exceeded the room capacity. The exhibitors at the event also saw good traffic at their booths with enough opportunities to interact with their prospects.

Undoubtedly, ISM2014 was bigger than ever- in terms of attendees, sessions and the discussions.
