With Zycus' focused mission of solving long-standing procurement challenges by placing procurement at the heart of high performing businesses - the primary purpose of the Nov 3-4, 2011 conference was to unveil Zycus’ complete procurement performance solutions suite.

The Memphis City Schools Procurement Services Division purchases all goods and services for over 108,000 students attending some 185 elementary, middle and high schools plus various offices, and outlying sites in the Memphis, Tennessee area. With education funding facing years of belt tightening from all levels of government, Memphis’ executive leadership has tasked the Procurement Services Division with delivering substantial cost savings.

The report contains both industry average and tiered performance benchmarks for the following indicators: compliance to enterprise supply contracts and preferred procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, stakeholder participation rates in strategic sourcing and supplier performance management activities, procurement technology adoption and use (broken out by procurement technology category), and procurement technology utilization (as % of total available functionality). Key conclusions from the study:

The collaboration between Zycus and IIMM is already underway with a five-part webinar series, titled Procurement Thursdays, which ran weekly throughout May and into June and attracted nearly 400 participants from some 300 companies. The 30-minute interactive sessions presented global state-of-the-art practices in procurement, spend-data management, technology-driven competitive sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship and performance management.

Through this relationship, Zycus Spend Analysis (SA), Supplier Information Management (SIM) and Supplier Performance Management (SPM) solutions will leverage the Equifax master data management database, with information on more than 45 million businesses worldwide.
