Dec 01 :: Zycus awarded US patent for its Spend Data Management Software

December 1st, 2005 : Princeton, NJ, US- Zycus, a leader in Automated Spend Data Management Software, announced that it has secured a patent issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for an application of its automated Spend Data Management software.

Given the high volume and cryptic nature of data generated in procurement and supply chain, Zycus has continually focused on providing Artificial Intelligence technology for managing spend data when the previous benchmark was using manual resources to manage the data.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in Alexandria, Virginia reviews all applications for patents. The USPTO receives approximately 350,000 patent applications each year. The review process for this particular patent took more than three years. This patent, US 6,920,459 was applied for in May 2002. Zycus has many more patents in the pipeline.
